24% of Americans Believe the U.S. Isn’t Doing Enough to Help Ukraine — Survey

Nearly a quarter of Americans feel that the U.S. is not providing enough military aid to Ukraine, a figure that has increased since last November.

This information comes from a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center.

Approximately 24% of Americans believe that the U.S. is not giving enough aid to Ukraine, up from 18% in November 2023, the last time this question was asked by researchers. However, a larger portion of Americans (31%) think that the U.S. is providing too much aid, while 25% believe the aid provided is sufficient.

The U.S. stands out among the surveyed countries for having significant ideological differences on this issue: 51% of Americans who identify as right-leaning believe that the U.S. is offering too much support to Ukraine, compared to just 13% of left-leaning respondents.

Similar surveys were conducted in Hungary, Turkey, and Poland.

In Hungary and Turkey, the prevailing opinion is that their countries are providing roughly adequate support to Ukraine (61% and 46%, respectively).

In Poland, opinions are divided: nearly equal proportions of respondents believe that their country is providing either a lot (44%) or enough (45%) aid to Ukraine. Only 6% think that Poland is not providing enough assistance.
